Cavalier

Well it busted. Just before Christmas I received a call from Matt asking for a tow home. It was late and dark and he wasn't sure what had happened to the car. He only knew radiator fluid gas was sprayed everywhere. He was out of fluid and had coasted down Malady pass.

I met him in Downey and we got the car home. Well on the 31st he had some help and learned the radiator cap was busted. The seal was bad. He replaced it and we thought we were good to go. He had a devil of a time getting the car to start. In the process he checked the oils and it looked sludgey to say the least. We were concerned. He finally got the car to start up and he was letting it idle.

We decided that it was too late to drive to his parents house as per our original plans. Well we go to take the car to get Indian food for our dinner and noticed the car was overheating again.

It doesn't look too good for the car...he thinks its the head gasket and has a friend coming over to help him replace it. By Matt doing the work it will cost between 18 and 55 and dinner for a friend.

Love that my husband can fix cars!
